CHARACTER VALUES MATTER
No matter what you call the subject—Character Values, Social-Emotional Learning, Good Citizenship, Soft Skills or the Golden Rule—everyone recognizes how critical it is for teens.
But it’s being taught less. Why? Because there’s less family time, less participation in civic and religious organizations and more school resources focused on core academics. The result? Ten million 10 to 15-year-olds are less prepared for success because they remain woefully unaware of the countless “positive possibilities” they can create.
